I began this with a swift drawing (from memory and imagination) using a thick water-soluble graphite crayon – “Lyra 9B” – and added some ink pen lines, watercolour, and a little white gouache. It’s on a medium A4 size, cold pressed watercolour paper – a “Born” brand, “custom made by James Cropper”. More textured than I usually like, but I think I’ll enjoy filling up this watercolour pad.
For this tiny sketchbook I used lovely “Khadi” cotton paper. Each sheet is about 8cm x 5cm, which I folded, and then sewed together with linen thread.
A special home for little sketches, and some Bible Scriptures. Another handmade sketchbook to add to my growing collection.
Thanks for visiting! Stay safe.
It’s always interesting to learn how various textures of paper affect the mediums used. Nice sketch.

Lovely image and lovely bit of scripture. Frankly, the world needs more of that, not less.
