Drew this while sitting in a cafe recently. A freehand sketch (with my finger) on the iPad (Air 2) in the Procreate app.

  1. Just got to watch your video of your sketching\painting on the ipad, Janette – wonderful video! It really helps to show the steps & media you employ. You have lovely technique!

    1. Thank you Pat. 🙂 A lovely comment! I think videos can be quite informative, but I don’t seem to get enough time to do them; and my cameraman (my youngest son) is busy with University life. 🙂 May try again sometime by propping up the iPad mini to film me sketching about the iPad Air screen – and show more of the progress from start to finish. Art Set Pro is still one of my favourite art apps; such natural looking media, and a delightful looking user panel – nice and simple to use. No layer system (as is found in most art apps) which suits me fine, as I don’t use this system – I prefer to build up the media on one surface…as on paper or canvas.     1. Thank you! If I went on to add more to this, there’s sometimes that difficulty in keeping the vigour of those initial lines. But practice always helps. 🙂 Love the pen line work, and colour in your recent post!

    1. Thank you Margaret for your lovely words! Really enjoyed the Workshop. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve had time to give a drawing class. It was great to see how much people enjoyed the added dimension of drawing on an iPad. 🙂 These days it seems Community/ Neighbourhood Houses can struggle to get people through the doors… hope my occasional Workshops are a help.
