On Paper, Canvas, and iPad
Began with graphite pencil on paper, then scanned the drawing into the iPad. I began with watercolour on paper, then whisked away some areas with the eraser set on Gesinski ink, in the Procreate app. Ideally more white paper should be left showing in the first place! I had not left enough white on the flowers, so in the “Procreate” app I lifted some whites out (freehand) with the eraser. Also added a little more colour here and there before printing... Began this on paper with an “Artline” ink pen, and washed over the inklines with water. Then I took the drawing into the “Procreate” app, where I drew in (freehand) some colour, using a little paint and the “artist” crayon.
I used charcoal, paint and the smudge tools (drawn with my finger) in the Art Set Pro app.
Scanned in my gouache painting with the iPad, using "Scanner Pro". I then took it into the "Procreate" app, where I finger painted in some white watercolour media over the red flowers.
