The initial drawing I did quickly with a black ink brush pen. It’s fun to work speedily, not quite knowing where marks will land…I can always use a little gouache to fix bits up later. I then added watercolour and pencil. It’s little smaller than “4 x 6”…I think a touch more red in it would work well.
Another brush pen drawing with water colour: A4 size.
This is a tiny ink pen drawing with watercolour….Hmm, sorry, looks like some blurring snuck in on the scan.
This morning, before I even put on my glasses, and keen to try my new Neopastel, non-watersoluble wax pastels, by Caran D’Ache, I did this ultra quick sketch in one of my A5 sketchbooks. I’ve used the water soluble Neopastels, on and off for years, and these are just as rich in colour and lovely to use.
I kinda liked it, so, now with my glasses on, I brushed it over with Inktense ink washes – nice to have these Neopastels stay put – then added a little coloured pencil… good fun.
I also share some of my art on Instagram, which you can see here.
Enjoy your day! Stay safe.
