About Art Prints and Paper A closer view of a drawing I shared in my last post. I drew it with the lovely, inky, “Zen Brush 3” media. As a mum of four boys – young men now – this is often a favourite subject matter. I make small A6 proof prints of some of my iPad art (and sometimes make “reproductive” prints of my art in traditional media). This helps me decide what paper, and editing suits a particular iPad drawing, to give it the best “physical” home. I use a variety of acid free/archival paper, both non-inkjet and inkjet – and try to ensure they are from sustainable forest sources, or 100% cotton. I share about these areas on my page, “Printing iPad and Traditional Art”. The print above is on “Canson Rag Photographique” matte fine art, inkjet paper – quite a smooth surface, and picks up detail and tone really well, more about it here. And below is a print on Agawami Kozo inkjet paper – which is slightly textured, and is a warmer white….also lovely, more info about these type of papers, here. The final print is on Canson 300gsm, Montval Cold Press, watercolour paper. It has an interesting texture, which I quite like. Happy with all of these prints. And as usual, happy to investigate, and share about paper – and printing! Printed on A5 Kozo paper. This is printed on Canson 300gsm Montval watercolour paper. Thanks for visiting. Stay safe.
