*Back here posting in late Feb 2018. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! A scan of linocut print from quite a few years ago. Added a touch more work in “Procreate”, and put on the words in the “Phonto” app. Decided it looked fine without colour. I’ve printed some cards from the scan. Thank... Continue Reading →
Canvas, iPad, then Work on the Print – and a Quick Video
A print from a work I began on canvas a little while back. I scanned it into the iPad, and added to it (freehand) using a little art app media in “Procreate”. Then put a little watercolour and gouache onto the print. I knew I wanted to do further work on the print, so I... Continue Reading →
Watercolour Wanderings
To get on with some watercolour practice, I’ve pre-sliced quite a lot of various types of watercolour paper into A5 size and smaller. Generally I like to work fairly small on paper and canvas; usually no bigger than an A3 size. It enables me to begin and finish something in a shorter space of time.... Continue Reading →
Some Art in Various Stages of Finish – on Paper and on the iPad

Fineliner Pen on Paper, with a Video of Adding Colour in the Procreate app
This is another “Artline” fineliner pen drawing I did from a photo I took of a local swimming spot. Below is a quick video of the colour I added (freehand) in the Procreate app. Also a tiny touch of the ink pen in the app.
Flowers 1.S
Began this on paper with an “Artline” ink pen, and washed over the inklines with water. Then I took the drawing into the “Procreate” app, where I drew in (freehand) some colour, using a little paint and the “artist” crayon.
Some Art in Various Media – and Art Prints
I drew this with an “Artline” pen, (a type of pen I’ve enjoyed using for years) from a photo I took of rocks by a running stream, at a local swimming spot. I brushed over the lines with water - part of the fun is not knowing how the ink will spread. After scanning it in... Continue Reading →
Changing the Landscape – and About Printing iPad and Traditional Media Artworks
If you saw my last post this image will look familiar. I deleted that post....wasn’t too happy with it; though thanks for the “likes”. This is the same artwork as a print in monotone, (and with some little changes) on a 100% eco cream card - this is from a great Australian company - BuyEcoGreen.... Continue Reading →
