On Paper, Canvas, and iPad

Acrylic paint on canvas - approx. 4” x 6” (10cm x 15cm). There’s quite a few trees in our local Red Gum reserve which have succumbed to our long, harsh droughts - yet they still have an elegant beauty. I took a photo of some of them as reference for this painting.
Drawn with my fingertip, using paint media and the smudge tool, in the “Procreate” app. Thoroughly enjoyed pushing and smudging around these colours as I attempted a sort of sunset landscape. For this quick sketch I used a dark sepia inkpen, and added washes of “natural brown” Inktense ink. It’s on A5 watercolour paper.
